Non-Traditional Day

Hemet High

Hemet High's Non-Traditional day is held once a year. On this day we trade students between classes that are traditionally gender specific, with classes of the opposite gender. For example, we trade auto shop guys with dance class ladies. This places the students out of their comfort zones and opens their eyes to possibilities of taking classes that are typically filled with the opposite gender (or non-traditional).
The first time we did this, seventeen additional ladies signed up for auto. Some of the guys even enjoyed dance!
